Love is a hallmark at all weddings. This is the most expressive element at a wedding, when family and friends come together to celebrate a new marriage. There are other elements that make a celebration unique – wedding details such as food, flowers, handmade signs, favors, centerpieces, signature lighting, something borrowed, something blue, etc., etc.!
What distinguishing details will make your wedding your own? A traditional pastry that shows your heritage, a giant game of Jenga that shows just how much you love games, herbs grown from seed to be given as favors, or perhaps flying lights (sky lanterns), which have a grace to them that will not be soon forgotten by your wedding guests . . . these are all some examples that I’ve recently seen.
Even if there are just one or two special touches to your wedding, they can make a big impact. Details are a creative outlet and an opportunity to have fun with the wedding planning process. Check out a few recent examples from weddings I’ve photographed for some inspiration!
