I am a moment-driven photographer. I don’t feel the need to manufacture moments, but be ready when they happen. My basic goal is to capture those moments creatively, all while setting everyone at ease. The camera should simply fade away and not distract you from having one of the most amazing days of your life. Be sure to read more on my Approach + Bio page.
Often, I do. Depending on the size & logistics of the weddings, coupled with your preference and budget, I am more than happy to arrange for a second photographer. I have several that I work with regularly. Each photographer that I work with has experience photographing weddings as a primary photographer, so it won’t just be an assistant, but someone who I expect will make amazing photographs! All of this said, I have photographed a lot of weddings solo, so feel comfortable working either way.
You shouldn’t look back on your wedding day and regret not spending as much time as possible with your family and close friends. I always have a game plan when photographing groups or details so everything happens as efficiently as possible. Though they’re important photos to have, the most important photos will be the real-life moments that I’m able to capture throughout the day.
I make every effort to send a sneak peek within two weeks, which includes about 30 of my favorite photos. The entire collection of photographs (and cinema should you choose the Fusion collection) takes about 6 weeks to edit. I take a lot of care in editing each photo before final delivery.
Yes. I make your photographs as accessible as possible, allowing for both high resolution downloading and online print ordering. You are free to share your photographs and downloading privileges with as many people as you like.
Yes! Engagement sessions are a great way to get to know one another, become more comfortable being photographed and creating some awesome photographs, documenting this exciting time in your relationship.
I love creating albums for couples. As I explain in a recent blog post, albums are often the first heirloom for a new family. I am pleased to offer my signature flush mount leather album, which is always a custom creation.
I am very happy and excited to offer Fusion Slideshows, which brings together photography and cinematography into a very dynamic creative piece. You can view a couple recent fusion pieces here and here. If you want a stand-alone cinema offering, I am happy to refer you to a few talented Vermont-based cinematographers.
For obvious reasons, it’s a pleasure working with talented people, so I’m always happy to refer them to others. Check out my Resources page to see a few of my favorites!
Absolutely yes. I bring 4 cameras, about 12 lenses, 4 flash units along with numerous misc. batteries, clamps and other nifty camera gear that is super helpful and effective. A lot of this stuff remains set aside never to be used, but it’s ready to go in a heartbeat should something drop or break.
Most of my weddings are relatively nearby, though I’ve photographed dozens of weddings out-of-state. I approach every wedding, no matter the venue, in much the same way, which is to say that I come prepared. So if the wedding is in some faraway place, I would build in extra time to get acquainted with the location and plan accordingly. Bottom line: I love photographing in new locations and draw inspiration from having new elements to include, so would love to talk about your wedding outside of Vermont.
I am continually re-working what I offer to better serve my clients. Simply contact me and I’ll be happy to share my most recent collection options with you.
